Stability of a star-shaped network with local Kelvin-Voigt damping and non-smooth coefficient at interface

چکیده

In this paper, we study the stability problem of a star-shaped network elastic strings with local Kelvin-Voigt damping. Under assumption that damping coefficients have some singularities near transmission point, prove semigroup corresponding to system is polynomially stable and decay rates depend on speed degeneracy. This result improves rate associated an earlier Z. Liu Q. Zhang in [21] involving wave equation non-smooth coefficient at interface.
